Description: This project studies the electromagnetic transients due to the connection of a 115 kV/13.8 kV, 37.5 MVA, transformer fed through a 115 kV 1.8 km long cable. The study comprises: (1) model development (comprises the network equivalent, the cable and the transformer), (2) transients simulation and (3) elaboration of conclusions and recommendations. The study will be performed with the Alternative Transients Program (ATP).
