Title: Decision-support tools for the day-ahead market and the congestion management mechanism

Description: The aim of this project is the development of decision-support tools for the new congestion management mechanism that will start to operate in June 2005 in the context of the Spanish wholesale electricity market.
The great change that this new mechanism introduces is that it requires specific offers from the generation companies. The previous mechanism, in contrast, was based on the offers submitted by the companies to the day-ahead market.
The project includes a collaboration for the regulatory analysis of the reforms implied by the introduction of this new mechanism.
