Biography:
Susana Ortiz Marcos is an assistant professor of the Industrial Engineering Department of the Engineering School of Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain. She obtained the degree of Industrial Management Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 1992 and the Ph.D. degree of Business Administration from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, in 1998. She joined the Instituto de Investigación Tecnológica (IIT) in 2001 where she is currently a research fellow.From 1994 to 2000 she was an assistant professor of the Industrial Engineering Department in the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. From 2001 up to now she is an assitant professor at Industrial Engineering Department in the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería (ICAI) from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Madrid). Her areas of interest are those of business administration, financial accountig, production management, costing accounting; regulation and organizational structure of the electricity market and cost of capital estimation for companies of the electricity sector. She is also interested in the introduction of environmental aspects into energy decision making, and on renewable energy integration studies.
