Biography: Angel de Andrés Martínez was born in Madrid (Spain) in 1964. He studied Engineering in the Univ. Pontificia Comillas (Madrid) where he received an honorific mention at the end of his studies. Received his Ph. D. degree in the UPCO (Madrid) in April/1997. Presently he is working as a Professor at the Mechanical Enginner Department of the Univ. Pontificia Comillas and partially as a Researcher at IIT in the Industrial Systems division, where he is studying Numerical Methods Applied to the Mechanical Engineering problems and now those related with Fracture Mechanics. He has also worked for the private industry during several years before joining the University as a full time teacher and researcher.
