Research topics

Focused on applied research in the fields of electronics and automatics, the Electronics and Automatics research unit (GEA) is an interdisciplinary research group in the IIT.

Within the area of systems applications and industrial processes, the unit’s research includes control, power, electronic instrumentation and communications. The activities of the GEA reflect changes in technology and the interests of the industry.

In the GEA, we design and develop systems using cutting edge technology for the fields of instrumentation, electronics and automization processes, for example, with rail networks (CCMVB-SEPSA projects), with energy providers (DENISE-61850, DENISE-EVERIS y ADDRESS), with control systems (CRISA-MOET project, CRISA-VIBRATIONS project) and with the communications industry (PRO-TVD y OPERA)
